This class is geared toward people who are interested in purchasing their first home.  If the course is completed you will receive a pre-purchase certificate, which may help you find a lower interest rate loan. Instructors will cover the following topics:

  • Budgeting and understanding credit
  • Different types of mortgages including CHFA & FHA
  • Overview of a mortgage application, the approval, and closing process
  • Keeping your home
  • Basic home maintenance tips
  • Managing your finances
